Truly God’s ways are not ours. The little children will always lead us. Our adult wisdom and education can actually hinder our spiritual journey. We forget God is extremely approachable as a loving, heavenly Parent. We are invited to be God’s children. Childlike faith will transform us. This is God’s good pleasure. Jesus actually praises God for hiding spiritual treasure from wise and learned adults. And the Son reveals God to the childlike in heart. Blessed are the children, for they shall see God.
Perhaps we need to reclaim our inner child for spiritual wholeness and healing. Or perhaps our inner child has been injured and/or betrayed by our earthly parents. Whatever our experience, God will never turn us away. God will never abuse or abandon us. God will never reject, ridicule, belittle or demean us. God’s loving arms are open to us. Perhaps we need a hug from the Dear One who invites us into childlike faith and trust.
