There was once a young boy who wanted to know what Heaven was like and day after day he would ask his dad about it. Every time he asked he got the same reply, "Not now son, just be patient." After he finished pestering his dad he would go outside and play.

Well like most boys he enjoyed playing with the little green army men, but he was getting older and didn't want anyone knowing that he still played with them so he would go under the house and play. The house had a wooden parlor floor that was nice and shiny. It was one of those floors that you couldn't wear shoes on because it was so nice, this was his favorite place to hide under.

Well one night at dinner the young boy asked his father, "Dad, what is Heaven like?" and his dad said, I'll tell you after we finish dinner." The boy couldn't wait. He hurried through dinner and watched as his dad took smaller and smaller bites slower and slower. After his dad took the last bite the son said, "Now can you tell me what Heaven is like?", but the father replied, "first we have to do the dishes". After the dishes were done the young boy asked his dad, "now are you going to tell me??" and his dad grabbed a flashlight and said, "let's take a walk." Once outside, on a crisp cool night, the father motioned to his son saying, "Take the flashlight and go under the house where you like to play and look up." Well the boy did and to his amazement all the boards under the house were dirty, unpolished, and rusty nails were sticking out of them. The boy got mad and told his dad that they needed to sue the contractor for an unfinished job. The father replied, "No, son that is what floor boards are supposed to look like underneath. Now look up at the stars son because they are the floor boards of Heaven...just imagine what Heaven is like."
