Access problems, blocking for this forum and some posting guidelines.

Hi all,

Ricky and I have had a couple of emails from our regular posters who have had trouble getting into this forum. Here's the reason:

Over the last week I've had some abusive emails directed here for no reason that I can see, and their IP has been blocked. I do this by blocking a range of IP numbers. If your number is in these, it gets the cold shoulder too!

Just let me know if you have this problem and I can do a workround if I know you.

Other reasons for us blocking posters:

- anonymous posts (particularly those without an email address),
- abusive posts (some rants have no information value and are plain abusive - they go),
- posts without serious information or intent.

Here's a few guidelines for posting:

If you're an experienced marketer and just get fed up with life or people on the net, you MAY get away with some general abuse providing you have given a lot of good information in the past. Not for long though.

If you're a newbie with no axe to grind but take the same approach - your post is a little harder to justify to us.

Ricky and I want good, solid information here... so please save your rants for the other forums which accept it.

A couple of threads here are going this way, and may be stopped if we see that our good natures and the forum's direction (ebooks and marketing) are being taken advantage of.

Ken Silver
