Thanks for your kind comments.
Like most forums, we have a silent majority of readers rather than posters. There have been an average of 21,500 page views a month over the past 12 months - the best month being 43,300 page views in March this year. This is comparison to about 110 posts a month for the same 12 month period.
To keep the forum interesting and relevant I have a very strict moderating control over content - maybe too tough at times - but as a result most posts stay mainly on track for our central theme of ebooks and internet marketing.
To achieve this, I look for original posts. If a post seems too generic I take a search round other boards, and if it is posted elsewhere I ask the poster if they mind me removing it. This action helps makes the forum unique, but may offend some in the weeding process.
There are more content heavy posts here on this forum than elsewhere... more information-rich posts here and less social chat. Whether this is good or bad for a community forum, I don't know. Maybe we could increase exposure by broadening our reach and encouraging more gossip, but I sense that would spoil things.
As always, let me know if you have other ideas for this board. While I own the forum, I consider I'm only a guardian - it is intended for all to use and change where neceesary. And that means a democratic use... frequent feedback and comment from you all.
