What is considered the best format for an e-book?

Hi everyone,

It's been a number of years since I've posted here as I stay pretty busy...

I'm like many other first time publishers and that is I'm confused as to the best format for my e-book. I want it to be able to be downloaded, placed on a DVD and hopefully a print version too. I'm even open to offering it in different formats and letting the customer choose according to their preference.

I want to have

* Clickable links to go to online websites for more information
* Clickable links to purchase products
* Short video clips to show techniques

I like the look and feel of an ebook that looks like a frames style website with right hand navigation that opens new windows in the mainframe to the right side of the navigation pane.

I've also spoken with Neil Tarvin of ebookgraphics.com and he has offered to create my e-book for me out of my word document into a pdf and I'm positive Neil knows what he's doing but I still wanted to throw the question up here on Ken's forum to see some input from others.

I'm also concerned about having it copied and re-printed by others, (I already have enough guys copying and pasting information in my posts as their
own on other forums).

Right now I have all of my text written in Microsoft Word, but I do know how to write html.

My subject matter is car detailing, and specifically car detailing with Meguiar's as I work for Meguiar's and love detailing cars.

Thanks ahead of time for everyone's input...

Mike
