how often do you change the p/word

I'm still new and learning how all this works. Bear with me - there's a question at the end !

First - is this how you work it ?

1) customer buys online, by following a link on your site (and providing their email address)
2) this is managed by Clickbank or something like it
3) if - and only if - the credit card is accepted, the customer is taken to a thank-you page
4) the thank you page tells them they will soon get an email with the password
5) the AWeber auto-responder sends them the email and password
6) customer finds the download page and everyone is happy !


How does AWeber know you've got a new customer ? If it's done via the AWeber sign up form, how do you know that the transaction went OK and therefore it's OK to release the URL/password.

Do you send both the URL for the download page and the directory password in the same auto-responder message ?

How often do you change the directory password (and the cirresponding text in the AWeber message)
