Wow...
How condecending is your reply to mine?
I'm well aware Ricky, as I imagine most regulars to this forum are, of how basics like font size, white space and page size affect the size of any book or manual.
"Thirdly, if im smart...and...it's called buying the reprint rights of someone elses book." If that isn't condescending of you, I better buy a new dictionary.
Did I hit a nerve or offend you with my reply to your post?
Also Ricky, if you care to read my reply again, you will note I did not suggest Evoy started this thread. I know you started it. Otherwise my reply would not have been to you. I asked if Evoy started this TREND...ie...the trend of large size books and manuals...
"Envious or jealous.." I wont even bother replying to that...
The point of my reply to your post is simple.
Casual or regular visitors to this forum could be excused for thinking that unless they can create a large body of work-why bother??
If they visited the forum before making a purchase decision and read your post, don't you think that could affect sales of both Ken Silvers and your products?
Not every subject lends itself to producing large volumes, regardless of the knowledge or expertise of the writer...
My reply to your post was somewhat "tongue in cheek", yet I believe I am making a valid point. If a potential customer with a book idea or even a finished product that maxed out at 100 pages read that post, was still undecided about e-book publishing, or even lacking some basic confidence in their ability to achieve what you guys are trying to sell......then you just stuffed a sale.
I thought that was obvious in my reply...apparently not...judging by the tone of your reply.
Does this clarify it any??
