People often ask me what is the key to online success?
Ricky... Is it....
- A good grounding in real world business?
- The right marketing mix?
- Reading a zillion books on Internet marketing?
- A sound knowledge of sales psychology... Or what makes people buy?
- A product people want at the right price?
- Being different, standing out from the crowd?
- Good copywriting, salesmanship?
- Dogged determination?
- Offering good customer service?
All of the above are of course just some of the important factors in the equation to be successful in any business.
Why then does the equation not always work for some when followed to the tee?
Why can’t everyone be as equally as successful if they follow the standards, the “rule book” of online marketing, etc?
Why is it easier for some to succeed than others, even with hard work and determination?
There must be something else…. A secret ingredient one must possess to make the recipe “just right”, to win first prize at the apple pie contest at the fair.
There is one denominating factor that can make a greater difference than anything else.
It's that one differential that makes one individual stand head over heels above their closest competitor.
An attribute rarely thought, talked or taught about, even when both competitors appear to be equal in all the other above mentioned areas.
It's called the "wow" factor!
It's that emotional sensation that people outwardly express or subconsciously feel in response to the creativity or uniqueness of whatever you do in association with presenting your business to the outside world.
It’s that “magic” or spell binding attraction some individuals seem to have that draws us to them or their business. It’s something more than just their product attraction. Something that keeps us coming back for more, another look, a head turner, or makes us remember or think about them at some random day dream period in our day.
It’s not always what they say, the words they use, or the mental images they create, but sometimes just how they express it, that strikes a chord deep within us. They know how to “push the right buttons” so as to speak.
It’s more than just well crafted sales copy or an individual’s own charm or personality thrown into the “mix”.
The wow factor is a positive emotive reaction brought about when a person is able to channel a high level of creative thought energy into physical communication mediums with their intended audience creating astonishment and admiration.
An individual that understands and masters this principle will never be mediocre or average in their projects or undertakings.
Unfortunately, this is not something that is easily learnt (although it can be), but rather an innate talent certain individuals are born with.
It is a God given gift that is magnified, grows and sharpens with age, wisdom, knowledge and much life experience.
Rare individuals who are in tune with their environment and people who see the world differently to most others. People who can match what customers want or expect from a business and package it all together.
Individuals who can evaluate and improve their business by seeing their business through their customers eyes. Molding it constantly like a ball of clay until it conforms to the greatest appeal and presentation to the majority.
They understand and can harness the power of colors, words, emotions and the other elements of visual and auditory appeal to their advantage.
These are the tools they have mastered to easily convince others to give them what they desire.
The Oxford dictionary defines the word “wow” as “sensational success”…
The question is… Do you possess this innate quality?
Are you destined for “S.O.S” …”Sensational Online Success” or are you pre-doomed to be another of the mediocre many?
