Marketing services thru web forums

I have been recently given the resposibility to market services in relation to publishing software technology. I have been using direct mail and web discussion forums to associate with people engaged in usage and consumption of these services. My target audience are generally publishing houses/ printing presses/ publishing technology firms etc. who are associated with publishing, printing, content management etc.

I am keen to look for more avenues for reaching out ot global markets.We have leadership in the quality and expertise in technology we offer.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Demonstrate your expertise through articles

The best way to do this is to follow these steps:

1. Think of the top problems your best customers are trying to solve.

2. Write articles on how to solve those problems.

3. Edit the articles to make sure you are using the words and phrases the customers actually use, not your jargon.

4. Post those articles on your own site and on industry-related sites that welcome articles - in your case on portals related to printing.

5. Repeat.
