This is my first time here. Looks like a lot of interesting discussions! The area that I need help in involves effectively marketing my product. At the moment, I don't have a lot of capital, so I've been using classifieds, opt-in lists, FFAs and onelist's services. The results have been marginal. Some of the pay-per-sale advertisers have a problem with marketing my product (it's a set of men's health manuals.)
Once sales pick up, I'll start advertising with classifieds in men's magazines; and I know the product will do well. Please check out my site and let me know if you can help. Perhaps we can do a joint-venture type project. The site's at:

Have you thought of writing short, useful articles on your subject and submitting them (with a link to an autoresponder that carries, say, a section from your manual) to eMags? On he autoresponder message (which carries the extract from your manual) you offer a link to your web site, etc.
I visited your site long enough to read the first few lines, and it is understandable why you are having problems with having pay per sale advertisers marketing the info...I wouldn't want it on my site either...and here's where the no offense is intended...your product needs to be marketed on the adult sites...it pertains to that type of readership. If you are having such a problem with results perhaps it wouldn't hurt to look at the product, and perhaps look at developing a new one directed at a niche market where there are buyers waiting.
It's been almost 10 years since I've posted my initial message. Since then, my business has grown beyond my wildest dreams, and there's still enormous potential for even more expansion!
