Can anyone tell me if you can convert MS Publisher 2000 files to PDF files. I can convert them when there is no graphics in them by saving them as a text file, but when I have graphics I cannot seem to convert.
Thanks for purchasing my ebook "Sell Your Brain On The Net" the other day and it's always nice to hear from another fellow Australian!
Your ebook on retail sales should do very well, especially in the local market.... And your Auto accessories experience in this area should prove invaluable, being the lagest auto chain in Oz.
Sam, ....My own ebook was compiled in MS Publisher 2000 and converted to PDF using Adobe Acrobat V3.0, so I know it works first hand!
When you are ready to convert to PDF from within Publisher, simply select PRINT and select the print driver as "Adobe PDFwriter"... Then instead of printing to your printer it will convert straight to PDF. (A PDF options dialogue box will appear)
Acrobat, installs itself as a "print driver" in just about any word processing or desktop publishing program.
What you may be doing is trying to open the publisher file from within Acobat itself... You don't need to do this.
Make sure you select PRINT from the "pulldown" menu in Publisher and NOT from the print ICON on the top menu bar.... If you do this... You don't get the option to print to PDF.
As far as the images not printing?... What bitmap image format did you use for your pictures?
Best to use JPEG or GIF for PDF conversion. Also check the image option settings in Acrobat itself.
