Hi there fellow webbies and ebookies.
I'm sitting at my computer trying to figure out how to get a form that customers will fill out for ebook download.
eg. Name, Email address, Ph no: Favourite pudding etc. Does anyone know where these forms can be obtained from. What happens to all that info anyway. I'm guessing it comes to me in an email so I can process it.
The majority of people in the eBook business are using 3rd party companies to build, host and process their credit card transaction pages (purchase forms).
This enables you to outsource the complicated credit card transaction process, enabling you to concentrate on things like marketing your site.
As far as I can tell, most people are using companies like CCBill (www.ccbill) iBill (www.ibill.com) and ClickBank (www.clickbank), which is the one that I personally recommend.
After your customer has filled out the purchase information and the credit card has been processed, you will be sent an email notifying you of the purchase. When you set up your account with a processing company, they will require that you tell them where they are to send your customers that have made a purchase. If you are selling a downloadable eBook, you will have a page on your site where they can download the eBook.
As soon as their credit card is processed they will be redirected to your download page. From there they can get their eBook.
