Going out of state for tougher comp should not been counted in the records thats why when i rate a ct wrestler i only count his losses and wins against ct high schools

they count. the ones that don't count are Prep schools, or vs out of state teams that are NOT members of their state's assoc (such as CIAC here in CT). Does it sometimes impact seeds? Yes, and that is another reason to favor bringing top 5 to the Open (due to seeds, it is not uncommon for a 3rd place finisher to not have faced 2nd--yet both advance to Open. however, 5ths that never meet 4ths and lost only to 1-3 don't advance, such as Marouski last yr)

Mikal Grant (New Fairfield, Curtis Watkins (Fairfield Warde), who finished 3 and 4th at M's didn't palce at Opens. I like Nick but how can you justify going to 5th place. You would need to show that many 3rd or 4th place guys from the class are getting through to the medals.

danbury alt got in and placed...would run 1st round rats as 4 vs 5, adding 4 bouts per wt, 56 total...plenty of time on Friday with 8 mats. Better example may have been Class M a couple of yrs back at around 135 or so, where it was stacked...I think.
