The method for doing the rankings is changing each week. The more data I have, the more difficult it becomes to do them, but, in my opinion, the more accurate they become. Each week the rankings are based more on what a wrestler has done over the course of the season. They are based less and less on a head-to-head matchup. Balance and parity has resulted in many "upsets." If a wrestler has beaten one guy in the top 16, but has lost to others not in the top 16, that will devalue the one victory against a ranked opponent.

How is torrello so far down in the rankings at 215 while all season he's been ranked top 5 at heavyweight. Not to mention he is undefeated and took first place at pomperaug and at new milford

Regarding the 135lb weight class, who has Alex Comacho beaten to be so high up in the rankings? The last few times I've seen him potentially facing a top 10 135 pounder he gets bumped to 140.

not sure of his total loss's. but i know that ben brody wrestled up at 189 in the indian classic and lost by 7 or 8 points to the 189 from bacon in the semi finals.

cohen from staples was ranked at 160 earlier this year but moved to 171. he has beat theil and primsky lost to ronald thompson, CJ ceci, and steele vervello of pomparage. He should be ranked I think you might have not noticed that he made the jump to 171.

why were all those stiffs ranked ahed of camacho in the first place, and why are you so concered with one guys rankings...and maybe 3periods realized that all those stiff stink that were ranked ahead of him...you ever think about that pinky?

mullet99 why do you suggest that?...is that a threat, that would be great if that was a threat, id totally smoke you in a match, a fist fight, a fire fight...so whats really good?
your the one picking on an individual wrestler, why dont you keep your mouth shut before i burry you in what ever armpit dirt town in the middle of ct you're from...trailor park dirty quister.

Chris Emmanualson with Xavier should be ranked. Sat out for a month due to scholastic tansfer rules. He is undefeated 8-0 with 3-pins 3-techs all within one week. He ranked all last year @ 140 with 36-5 record and placed in the LL's. Those who have been wrestling for three years don't need polls to tell them who's hot and who's not!

Emmanualson got tooled by Copes ( cheshire ) tonight. He could not score a point,it was 9-0 and then Copes pined him.As far as him being ranked thats a joke, he looked like a jver.

Yeah, the top 40 wrestlers at each weight should be ranked... No wait, maybe the top 50. or no, every wrestler in the state should be ranked... Get a grip dude, do you know how hard it is to even rank the top 10? You want 30? Its all subjective after a certain point. After, 50 posts will follow about people whining saying, he beat so and so, and he lost to so and so, so he should be ahead of him...

125 in the LL is going to be so stacked Placing sixth at the weight class would be a hell of an accomplishment considering that you've got Blank, Madkour and Gouveia all are going to place at opens leaving only really fourth place and whoever the fourth is has a channce to place too

I do not agree with alot of 3periods rankings. However, he has a basis for each of his rankings. He does a great job.
Anyone who thinks this is easy try to rank you own leauge (such as ECC, SCC, Fciac) without using 3periods information. You can rank some weights that you follow, but the other 7-9 are tough. Now try and rank the top ten in each group in the exact order that they will finish without offending anyone. Then you will see how tough this really is.
For all you people, the top 4 or 5 are proably stud in each weight group. Then from 6-16 the wrestlers are usually evenly match and whoever wrestle best that day will win. There is not much difference, so quit complaining and thank 3periods for his effort.

Hey 3 periods, i could be wrong but i think tomlinson of cheshire should be ranked at 160 somewhere. I know he beat the kid from newington and southington kid at 160 and had alot of close matches with other guys. I just figure i ask since since i see him wrestle alot.

3,
I can't find the rsults online but do you know how the 125 went down real early this year ath the Skip Arden Invitational? Because according to ct oline, that wouldve meant Camacho, Vallario, and Odell were there? Do you know how those guys finished?
And Camacho should be ranked ahead of Miller at 125, beath im in consolation danbury tournament 7-4

I think its kind of ridiculous that Tim Dark is still not ranked at 171 hes had very good matches with both Trevor Ritchie and Tim Vallaro he should atleast be considered because besides those losses hes pretty much pinned everyone else

trevor ritchie at 160 is a complete joke. how can you go from ranking him numbe 1 and 2 at 171, to 6th at 160? he will win opens at either weight, last night at glastonbury i read that he bumped up form 160 to wrestle their 189 (colaptiero, sp?) whos 5 or 6 in the state? and beat him, im not sure of the score, but i heard he absolutely dominated him.
Scoring disabled. You must be logged in to score posts.
Trevor is tough, but 160 is for real. He isn't a sure bet to win opens by any means. He hasn't beaten those top guys yet, if and when he does I am sure he will get his due respect. U look at the eagle last week, any one of the top 6 at 160 could have been the #1 seed at 171. Very tough to call at 160, but from what I have seen the man in red and white is the one to stop.

who? fiorillo? i believe southington is at rockville duals this weekend, and plainville will be there so hell wrestle acca, and i think another top-ranked 160?

NOT MANY PEOPLE ARE RANKED 17 IN THE STATE SO 3PERIODS I WOULD LIKE TO FOR THIS RANK IT MEAN ALOT TO ME. FOR ALL THOSE WHO EVER DOUBTED ME, LOOK WHOSE #17 IN THE STATE NOW. I AM A MACHINE THAT CAN NOT AND WILL NOT BE STOPPED. #17 IN THE STATE,DONT GET ANY BETTER THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the rest of the words:
ronald should win opens if he doesnt gas, if he didnt have that breathing disorder/fatigue issue that he has, he would have beat roddy last year. i dont know how fiorillo is this yr, i saw him last year and he stunk. he'll prob toast mario acca though cause he really stinks, he stinks like propane from an old leaky tow motor(fork lift). but yea ronald should bewilder good ol red and white fiorillio too, and a guy like ritchie, whos a decent wrestler at best...ronald will stick him in the first period...or jump out to a 15-0 lead. as for everyone else there, they stink. and dont compare a 160 to a 189lber...if ritchie beat a decent 89 lb guy whippdee doo, he's supposed to...89's 215's heavy and sometimes 71's and even 60's typically stink...at wrestling that is. They are pretty horrible at wrestling...usually... and 9 out of 10 times id bet that the guy who wins the opens at 160 will beat the champ at 189. but yea ronald should win the opens, and ritchie has no shot....and fiorillo stinks...if he still wrestles like he did last year.
