Paul Campagna from Pulaski High school, when it was a High School. He coached a class S team for about 12 years including his short time at New Britain HS between 1971 and 1983. His class S teams competed at every level S, M, L, LL and they were good. he was a great coach. I believe he got coach of the year once or twice...
It was a pleasure to have wrestled for him...

honestly, i want to just praise coach dave D'alessio and lipford.hes an inspiration and an amazing coach. he is always there to help someone iif they need help and knows how to push his team without driving them over the edge. i believe he should get coach of the year and its a shame he doesnt already have it. He has always been there and keeps the room open to his wrestlers and open to anyone who ever wants to come he is a man of class and deserves absolute respect. Furthermore, he tells his wrestlers not to talk trash on this forum so excuse such people as udontknowme145 because it is not a reflection of the team. i am not goin to leave my name because i dont want the attention.

Mr. Ricky Shook. Yes he is a young coach, to see him at practice or during a meet you will clearly see that he is a genius. If you don't model what you teach you are teaching something else. He is the bomb.

top three of the state all time (meaning winning percentage and what they have done with the program.)
1. Rick SHook danbury
2. Day-Berlin
3. Pulaski Old coach.
They have tremendous records and even though two do not coach anymore they won many state adn conference titles but at this point i dont think you can put anybody next to the danbury coach and what he has done amazing.

I have to agree with almost everything Amityfan stated above. Ricky Shook either holds or may one day hold every record in the state if he coaches long enough.
The only area I can disagree with is calling him a young coach he may have that baby face but he is much older than it seems. Looks are very decieving in this case.

your right about Ricky Shook, I'll just say he is younger than me and I don't think that am that old. When you look at RS coach a match sometimes you can't tell if the wrestler is winning or losing, kinda like Joe Torre.

nimock before his infiltration of molestation infestation....but shook is the man, its great, i watch danbury guys make adjustments, and just beat up on guys weaknesses...i mean teh fact that shook coached schaffer to a win over paulish in the fciac finals last week says it all..paulish was a stud, he demolished brock coutu, made it to the finals of new englands, and got beat...whipped by schaffer, wasnt even a match...shooks common sense, he doenst try to make his guys do things they cant, he makes he weak wrestelrs scrappy and his good wrestlers hammers...shooks the man.

Brian Crudden......here is a coach that has produced championship teams, championship individuals and championship coaches. All while remaining down to earth.

Charlie Anderson coached Norwalk when I was at Stamford High, he was a tough coach who always demanded the best out of his kids and consistently put out strong competitive teams. I know that he was missed when he was away but it is great to see him back coaching again.

Before there was Shook, there was Coach Morris. Rick Shook has certainly taken the reigns of the Danbury program and run with it but Coach Mike Morris built the youth program and the high school program that evolved into the powerhouse that Danbury is today. Before Coach Morris left coaching, he was the first Connecticut High School wrestling coach to win the New Englands. Coach Morris made Connecticut wrestling regionally respected, Coach Shook took it from there and made it nationally respected.
