Location: JFK High School, Somers, NY
Sanction: USA Wrestling. You MUST have a current USA Wrestling card. You can get a USA Wrestling Card at http://register.section1youthwrestling.com/
Style: Folkstyle

Weigh-Ins: E-mail weight to coachdisanto@optonline.net by Thursday, July 24th by 6:00pm
Entry Fee: $30 if received by July 21ST. $40 for all late registrations. We will not except Walk-ons
Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place

Divisions: PeeWee 5 & 6; Bantam 7 & 8; Midget 9 & 10; Novice 11 & 12, Junior High 13-15; High School 15 and up. Indicate Age as of day of tournament. Weight brackets will be determined day of tournament. Groupings in 8 man brackets as many as possible. Double elimination or round robin in smaller brackets. For HS we will make every attempt to group kids by age and ability for round robin.

Match length: PeeWee, Bantam, Midget, Junior- three 1 minute periods; High School three 2 min. periods

Team: Any wrestling team or club (No graduates), 7th graders are allowed
Cost: $400 per team: $50 Deposit
Event: 32 Team Dual Team Tournament. First 32 teams that enter $50

Registration and Weigh in – Friday 7/11/08 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 7/12/08 7:00 a.m – 8:30 a.m.

Divisions
Middle School Division – grades 6 – 8: must be enrolled in Middle School 2008 season
High School Division – grades 9- 12: must be enrolled in HS for the 2008 - 2009 season
Open Division – open to all HS graduates
Veterans Division - 30 years and older as of July 2008

Weight Classes: Participants are divided into about 6 weight classes depending on the
amount of entries in each category.
Seeding: Blind Draw
Affiliation – all contestants must be a current USA wrestling member in order to
participate. A one time event card will be available at registration for $10 for those not
currently members of USAW.

Entry Fee: $25 Make checks payable to Rams Wrestling Club
Awards: medals for places 1st though 4th in all divisions. Also there will be a King of the
Beach Champion in each category. All the Champions in each of the categories will
wrestle each other at the end of the tournament as long as time allows.
Food - will be for sale on the board walk and on the beach
T-Shirts - will be for sale at the tournament

Directions: Take Meadowbrook Parkway South to Loop parkway. Take
Loop parkway to the end and go west. You will then be on Park Ave. Take Park Ave. to
National Blvd. and make a left go straight down to the beach. The wrestling will take
place on the National Blvd. beach.

Event: 2008 USA Wrestling National High School Beach Duals held in conjunction
with the 2008 U.S. Beach Nationals and World Team Trials on July 5th.
When: National High School Beach Duals will take place on Sunday, July 6th 2008
Where: Ontario Beach Park, 4650 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612
Eligibility: Athletes (male / female) currently entering grades 7 – 12

Entry Fee: $100.00 / Registered Team (Maximum 15 members)
- Participating teams must pre-register by Wednesday, July 2, 2008 (no exceptions)
- All finalized team rosters must be submitted no later than Saturday, 7/5/08.
- No roster changes after Saturday, July 5, 2008 (12:00 PM / Noon)
- Athletes can not be registered or participate on more than one team
- All registered team members must have a current 2008 USA Wrestling card
- USA Wrestling Cards will be available for purchase at the event.

- No weight allowances will be allowed to competition weight classes.
- All competitors will weigh-in wearing competition attire (swim trunks).

weigh-in class. (ie; athlete weigh-in at 126 lbs, weight class = 130 lbs, highest

1. On sand, inside a circle 6 meter (~ 20ft) in diameter.

1. One period of maximum three (3) minutes.

1. The person in charge acts as referee and his decisions cannot be questioned.
&#56256;&#56440;&#56256;&#56323;Kind Of Victories:
1. By fall when a wrestler touches both shoulders on the ground.
2. By throw when a wrestler has succeeded in having his opponent touch twice during the
match a part of his body on the ground. In the action the attacking wrestler can put one
or both knees on the ground.
3. By leaving the competition area if a wrestler has succeeded in pushing twice one foot
of his opponent out of the competition area.
4. By adding to a throw a leaving of the competition area.
5. By decision of the person in charge (referee) when at the end of (3) minutes no action
was executed by one wrestler compared with the activity of the other wrestler.

&#56256;&#56440;&#56256;&#56323;Prohibitions:
1. Kick or punch.
2. Attack the face or the hair.
3. Cover the body with an oily and / or slippery substance.
4. Holds that can lead to dislocation.
5. Stopping the match for any reason is forbidden.

&#56256;&#56440;&#56256;&#56323;Tournament will be a “bracketed” format.
&#56256;&#56440;&#56256;&#56323;Dual meet winner criteria:
&#56256;&#56510; The team that is declared a winner in the majority of the weight class matches.
Ex: Team A wins 5 matches, Team B wins 4 matches; Team A is declared the winner.
&#56256;&#56510; In the event of a dual meet tie (due to forfeits there is an even number of wrestled
matches); the Dual meet winner will be determined by the criteria below.
o First Criteria: Most Falls
o Second Criteria: The team that scores the Most total points in Dual
o Third Criteria: Most Takedowns
o Fourth Criteria: Most Push Outs

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each weight class will receive medals.

Weigh-ins will be Monday July 28th beginning at 4:30
(Any wrestler who misses weigh-ins can weigh-in Tuesday be for his 1st team match)
14 Weights are as follows, max of 17 wrestlers per team.
105,114,121,127,132,137,142,147,154,162,174,183,217,277

217 and 277 are optional at weigh-ins if a team weighs a wrestler at the weights he must wrestle all week if he doesn’t weigh-in by the deadline points will not count. Periods 1- 1.1/2 – 1.1/2
Each team must supply 1 or 2 table workers per match

Delaware Intensity is hosting the 3rd Annual Cadet/Junior Freestyle Duals on July 12, 2008. We are looking for a few more teams. Confirmed so far: Team Maryland, Team DE (USA) Delaware intensity, Seagulls Our facility houses three competition mats and we’re looking for each team to wrestle as many matches as possible.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am and run straight through. There will be small concession items through out the day. Water, Peanut butter and Jelly, chips….

Match: NYS High School Rules
First period - 1 minute
Second period – 1 1/2 minutes
Third period – 1 1/2 minute
Regular Overtime

There will only be four Varsity teams and four Jr. High team allowed in the tournament
(each team will wrestle three times). Jr. High division is for any one going into 7-9
grade, varsity is for anyone going into grades 10-12. You may wrestle up a division but
you cannot wrestle down. We will allow exhibitions if time allows
The 1st four paid teams for each division will be entered.
