I just need a few more students and I can hold classes 3x per week.

Thank you CT wrestlers, for your continued support of my club.

NEW CLUB ADD:

I am a hands-on teacher. I do the warm-ups, stretching and exercises, right along with the students. I perform drills and live wrestle as much as possible. I try to sweat more than any student in the class. I try to live wrestle with every student, every class.

There are very few Instructors in RI, CT, and Mass who fully understand how to effectively teach Wrestlers how to do Judo throws, without using a Judo GI Jacket.

95% of Judo throws can be done without using a GI and are legal in Wrestling.

I have a large training area, about the size of 2 Wrestling mats.

The mats are very forgiving. They are much thicker and softer than Wrestling mats.

The training area is well lit and greatly ventilated. There are over a dozen windows to open as well as ceiling fans and air conditioning.

Almost all training is done with great music booming out of a 380 watt shelf system. Get pumped up to over 100 different songs from several music genres, with awesome energy, beats and inspiration. All music was edited and mixed by a professional DJ.

Throws are fully completed on crash-mats in high repetitions, to blaring music. These are done very fast without breaks and with many different body types, weights and sizes.

***Please email me for an official flyer and a picture of the training area.

This is what you can learn:

- A dozen technical foot-sweeps that can easily throw your opponent without using energy or can off-balance them to set-up other powerful throws or take-downs.

- 67 Basic Judo throws with countless variations that can be done in countless throwing combinations, similar to chain-wrestling (The art of transitioning smoothly and seamlessly between multiple techniques).

- The powerful forward throws of Judo where your back is turned to your opponent for a split-second.

- How to constantly keep your opponent off-balance and keep them on the defense.

- How to easily modify 95% of Judo throws to effectively work in wrestling.

- Technical grip fighting to gain a dominate position on your opponent.

- Technical foot-work to confuse, off-balance and set-up your opponent to quickly/safely enter into throws and take-downs.

- Powerful throws that put your opponent directly to their backs.

- How to quickly, safely, and effectively transition from a standing throw, to a pinning situation.

- Multiple counters to all Judo throws and Wrestling take-downs.

- How get the edge on all pure-wrestling opponents.

- How to defeat larger opponents.

- How to make your opponent move in the direction that you want them to; right into your throw.

- An aggressive and relentless offensive attack on your opponent.

- A completely 3 dimensional standing attack on your opponent, with the ability to throw from any angle, into every possible direction, at any time.

- To fight smart and efficiently, using the least energy, while using your opponent’s energy and force against them.

- How to make your entire body work in unison to complete throws.

- Subtle wrestling intricacies of competition strategy.

We have a great group of around a dozen students, with almost all weight classes represented. Everyone is focused on learning and they all give their best, every practice.

All egos are left at the door. No egos are allowed. There is strict discipline. Everyone helps and encourages each other. Everyone shows the utmost respect for everybody. There is a great unity in the class, as we are all team-mates. You are only as good as the people that you train with. We all make each other better. Everyone can learn something from anyone.

Sensei means teacher but in my class everyone is a Sensei. I have never learned more about my Sports/Arts than I have learned trying to teach my students. Every class they teach me. I appreciate and respect every student that walks into my class. Everyone is important, not just the champions. I give every ounce of effort that I have into every class. These Sports/Arts that I am a part of are a way of life for me.

I teach for the right reasons. I teach for the love of the Sports/Arts, that I’ve been a part of for 16 years. I teach to help people accomplish things that they never thought possible. I teach to spread my passion and work-ethic of these Sports/Arts to my students. I try to show the public the effectiveness and complete dominance that my Sports/Arts have over all other Martial Arts and fighting systems. I teach to one day gain the respect that the competitors of my Sports/Arts deserve, for being some of the greatest athletes in the world, who work so hard and sacrifice so much.

Although the past year, I’ve been fairly inactive in competition because I’ve been recovering from several injuries, overall I am a competitive teacher. Nothing contributes to grappling development than a live match and competitions. I train when I am not teaching. I travel 2+ hours to the toughest schools, to fight all the best players. Sometimes I have the opportunity to train with several Olympians, competitors from the National team, as well as international players

Wrestling is a great mental and physical chess match but Judo/Jujitsu is the ultimate chess match. Wearing a Judo/Jujitsu Jacket adds many times more techniques and strategies to a match. There may be up to 3x more techniques in Judo/Jujitsu, in comparison to wrestling. 95% of wrestling is legal in Judo matches while all are legal in Jujitsu.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I KNOW THIS IS A HAUL FOR MOST OF YOU BUT ITS JUST ONE DAY A WEEK, ITS A GREAT WORKOUT AND I HAVE SEVERAL REALLY GOOD PLAYERS IN SEVERAL WEIGHT CLASSES. THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF LIVE WRESTLING.

THERE ARE ALSO DOZENS OF TOURNAMENTS PER YEAR IN JUDO.

95% OF ALL WRESTLING MOVES ARE LEGAL IN TOURNAMENT JUDO AND ALL ARE LEGAL IN JUJITSU.

I teach a unique, dynamic, challenging, fast-paced, and high-energy mixed grappling style of Judo, Wrestling and Jujitsu. I try to keep the class moving from beginning to end for a good work-out. I also use music during the class, to create a greater energy.

We will stretch and do some exercises for about 30 min.

Then I split the class in half, as far as time is concerned. First half is standing techniques & drills. Many Judo Throws, Wrestling take-downs etc. The second half is dedicated to Wrestling Mat-work/Pins & Sport Ju-Jitsu – Submissions Holds (Chokes & Arm-bars) & The Guard Positions. We perform standing and ground moves in combination (chain wrestling), just like a boxer throws punches, although grappling in a 3 dimensional attack.

The class is taught in a Judo class format. Meaning, in GI top Jackets and following Judo etiquite for a greater class disipline. This is even true during Wrestling instruction. I consider Wrestling a Martial Art and this is how I teach it. I will show how to alter Judo throws to perform them with-out grabbing clothing or in a wrestling match.

I don't go over much self defense, unless asked. This aspect comes naturally as students perfect their techniques. They are very easily adapted and applied to defense scenarios.

You don't have to be a YMCA member but members get half price on the class. It may be something you may want to look into. You can use other YMCA's around the area with a membership. YMCA members are 54.00. A non-member is $108, which was supposed to be lower and I will work to reduce it for the next term. So thats 8 classes for 108, which is 13.50 per class. Looks like around a dozen students are going to be there as of today. I hung up over 100 fliers all over though so that number may increase.

Email me directly and Ill send you a flyer and more info.

Any other questions, just ask.

This is a very intense class with a very dedicated professional at the helm. My son has learned a great deal in four weeks, which should certainly help him in the next wrestling season. Very good work out with a lot of personal instruction.
