My name is Greg Marmaros. I am from Beachwood, Ohio and will be a freshman at the University of Connecticut in fall 2008. I was wondering if their are any positions open for a volunteer wrestling coach. I made the state tournament 3x in High school and placed in the top 6 twice. I am just looking to help out and don’t really care about making money. If anybody knows of any open postions I would love to help out.

Thanks,
Greg

Greg,

You would be more than welcome to come down to our room and help out. We are located in Hebron, CT. About 10 -15 minutes from UCONN.

You would need to get certified as a Coach, and get first aid and CPR certified, but that shouldn't be a problem. You will come across this at any school. In case u weren't aware CT is or once was the Insurance Capitol of the world. Nothing is easy.

Thanks
Coach Fitch

You can always just walk across the street to E.O. Smith.

Hey Coach, always good to hear from you. I thought about stopping by your open mats on Thursday nights, but my USA card ran out 32 years ago (I haven't had a chance to update it).

If you're interested with working with younger kids, North East Elite in Enfield, CT is always open to college wrestlers looking for a place to coach/train. There will always be a great deal of high school kids in the room in the beginning months of school as well.
