As a fan and parent of 2 sons that have gone are in wrestling programs in the SWC my one question is ....What happened to schools in the SWC this year.
Netown? Did they graduate everyone but Goviea. Do they have a youth program
Bunell- What happened to there kids? Workman not 105? Wilcoxson? Charney 189 the rest of the team....... This team is not what they where for the past 2-3 years. Not as offensive, not good on top, Are the new coaches as good as the previous 2.They were great for three years in a row. Are the old coaches coaching? A school should be interested in there services
There is no passion with schools like this Stratford, (This use to be a powerhouse),
New Fairfield-(HUGE POWERHOUSE) A huge youth program, lots of kids yet only a handful of kids on the team
Barlow Weston- They should go back to co=op very few bright spots on the team
Masusk- Great to see a coach, coaching again. Why are they paying to play
Bethel-(Consistent PowerHOuse) Is this a down year for them. Days of the pace wolf Oldman etc are long gone? What happened to there youth program
Oxford- Is there a youth program for them, making progress this year every match of the way.
New Milford- Enough Said when your good your good. When your great Your New Milford in this Division.
Immaculate- Coach Hayes Is doing something right. GREAT GREAT JOB
There are many great wrestlers individually but these teams are not as good as they can be or have been. Is it a down year or is there no such luck. Does anyone have an idea.

Newtown graduated 12 seniors 10 of which started varsity. they have a youth program with big numbers and wins except the majority of kid in it are only in 5th - 7th grade. a few have made it to high school and are doing good but it will take a few more years to really show

Well we lost 10 seniors, so we have to rebuild. Our coaches are amazing, Stec's a State open champ out of Derby, and DiDio is just an all out animal. 2 time VA state champ and national qualifier. It's all a matter of rebuilding

I agree that the conference is weaker team-wise.
I honestly don't know much about Bunnell
To me, NF is the biggest disappointment-I am surprised that their youth program has not produced the quantity of wrestlers--for them to forfeit a few weights is baffling.
I don't remember Bethel being a "powerhouse", but they are usually decent.
NM has capitalized on their youth program-their varsity is pretty young and should continue to get better.
I am really impressed by Immaculate-they could really turn their educational opportunities and Danbury connections into a strong program.
