i'm going to make two suggestions about divisional state tournaments: the first is that no tournament should be held at a school in its own division, ie. no M school may host the M tournament. the second is that these states should be held in a centralized location. except for bristol (Ls) the other locations seem to be on the perimeters of the state.
it seems that year after year, a large group of teams must travel and change their routine while a small group of schools around the tournament site do not. it's fun to stay at a hotel and all that but fun at the expense of performance is a tough price.
any thoughts?

good point. we had that issue when i coached at preps. there were event managers that ran the tournaments much the same way cammisa runs most all youth tournaments. they are hired. there is cost but concessions and all that easily pay for it as well as the use of the school. it's basically software and knowhow.
have you ever wrestled at st. bernard for states? you can hardly move.
