Alright decided to make a new post so keep track of the feedback and so that there aren't 3 sets of these. Please note these are solely based on my opinion and not a point system. These are PRESEASON and are based on the weights from this year. I'm sure tons will change weight, this is to represent the the 1st week in December. When wrestling starts 3periods will come out with his with appropriate rankings. If I guess everyone new weights that would be near impossible, if I bumped everyone up one weight than there would be no 103 rankings. Also please note the majority of these are based only on State Championship results. I know some people beat others during regular season but people get better as the season progresses and these are based on the placers and final regular season records. With that said I welcome all comments, if you feel to criticize please back it up with a fact and try to be mature about it, if they blow, please educate us all on how. If there good then please say that or say nothing. Don't judge them on who wrote them, judge them on the accuracy. I also went ahead and wrote a brief paragraph to why I chose to place individuals where I did. The alternatives will be ranked more than likely, I only rank top 10 as oppose to 3periods who goes to 16, there are 2 alts, 10+2 is under 16. Here ya go.

maybe on 3 periods 16, he didnt even place at L's so I put the placers up first then went by good records. I think he finished 17-7 which isnt bad but Grahuer went to opens and steven carpenter finished 28-6. Ben Anderson 22-5, records are all better than Lombardi.

I hope all these defeats that you guys are naming came during state tournament action cuz i clearly said at the top this is solely based up the state championships and overall records. I dont care if smith beat anderson in jan then Anderson took 2nd at M's and Smith took 6th. Anderson will be ranked higher because these are based on State Tournament results. But if these are losses at the tournaments than you might be right.

ugh its like talking to a brick wall cuz i know i have said atleast 3 times these are all based on state tournament results and the weights are based upon this year lol see how many more times i gotta say it

It appears to me that you did an excellent job ranking these kids. You have to remember, everyone wants to complain about something, and some people seem to be unable to comprehend your basis for the rankings (which was very solid) although you tell them repeatedly.
They should look at this as a starting point. No one knows where they will be next year, and it is foolish to venture a guess. So this is a logic evaluation of where they are now.
Excellent Job. Keep ranking the wrestles and you and 3periords can discuss the differences between both rankings next year. Very solid effort.

no limit...getting a little frustrated already? You only have about 48 more weeks to go before the pre-conference tournament rankings for 09-10 season. Having the shoe on the other foot is a real eye-opener, isn't it? Suddenly 14 weight classes looks like a lot more work than one weight class, eh?
Seriously...explain each issue one time per week. Otherwise, you will have to quit your life completely to answer to the critics.
When doing the rankings, do the best you can. Know you did the best you can. Accept that your best is all you can do. Let the criticism of those who think you are not doing a good job be muted by the fact that you know you did your best. Why? Because in life, all you can do is your best. The only person you have to answer to for your effort is yourself. No one else can say you didn't do your best. They can only say they don't like the result.
If the advice above does not help you, try valium. Good luck.

I do enjoy positive feedback like that, appreciate it. I will not run a point system. Over the spring and summer I will review pretty much all the results from this year to tweak the these slightly but overall expect this to to be the December Rankings. 3periods does not start his rankings until Jan which is pretty smart seeing how everyone drops a weight class because of the allowance. I will wait to see how many people decide to go with there own rankings or who decides they like mine to decide what I will do as far as publishing my rankings. If I have learned anything from 3periods and Dnowas rankings its that nothing will satisfy everyone. But we seem to get closer every year and while I dont expect to satisfy EVERYONE I hope to satisfy the majority. I will base my rankings strictly on results. While the point system worked for 3 periods and I respect his efforts, I will use my own way and I dont think many will disagree with it. When the results become inconclusive and seem to not work I will host a vote for top 3 spots. for instance: #2 pinned #3 but #3 beat #1 but #1 beat #4,5,6,7. Usually does not happen a whole lot, last year happened at 152 but overall I will make them up through results. Anyways thanks for the positive comments and all the people who comment about the weights of the wrestlers or the people who lost to so and so during jan please read the 1st message I wrote at the top. Thanks all

I understand everything your saying, I have not received to much criticism regarding my preseasons yet. And this is only the 1st ones. It will be a great challenge and very time consuming, but I would be contributing to a sport I love and enjoy very much which makes me more than confident. Being in the other shoes is a little different, for that I am sorry for all the negativity to your rankings. You dont need me to tell you they were good, but I will anyways. They were good. As far as the Valium... Ill keep a bottle near by.

Great job seeing how you have to determine weight classes, head tohead matches, and tournament results. That's alot of work, hope they mostly come thru for you. We do have a 189 at plainville who spladled 9 of his last 12 matches. His only problem was that was his only move. Hopefully after clubs and camps he'll improve on his ability to kick butt.

Sam is a great YOUNG wrestler who will win a a good number of matches. He comes from a tough family of wrestling pride. Give him time and he will be very good. Casey at 125 will find it tough for awhile wrestling the mature Varsity kids.

at 119 there are a few things... Reggie Allen moved to Florida so he wont be there this year. Also, Anderson from Trumbull should definitely be there in front of Grauer. He is a pretty jacked 119 for a returning sophomore.

those are not this years pre season rankings.. I have the rankings on my web site but I am not making them public until Nov. 1st.. And you have to remember certain things when factoring in rankings and its not how jacked some one looks the facts are that Anderson had 5 losses and did not place at LL's.. Grauher placed 4th at M's beating Purdue who was the #3 seed.
