This summer I will again be running open mats at RHAM High School. Last year was incredibly successful with a great turnout. I'm not sure of the dates and times yet, but I just wanted people to see this up here while this site is still active during the season. RHAM is located in Hebron, CT, about 25 minutes east of Hartford. It is a very central location and home to many accomplished wrestlers.

Last summer we had NUMEROUS state champions, state open champions, state open finalists and state finalists in the room, along with college New England place winners. From Ken Velez (open champ '07) to Jon Fiorillo (2x L champ) to Kevin Davis ('03 New England champ and '08 college placewinner), there are people of all techniques, abilities, and sizes. Kenny is a little guy to workout with, Billy Lynn, Jareth Cardoso is about 165, I'm about 170, Aren Norman is a bigger guy.

So for anyone who wants good competition while learning, RHAM is the place to wrestle this summer. I'm more than willing to work 1 on 1 with anyone of any size or ability, as is everyone else who comes.

Oh yeah; it's free with a USA wrestling card, so no membership fee needed. I'll post more about dates when I find out.

Dave,
It sounds like something my son Sean would be very interested in. He has trained with Norman and Brainard in the past and got a lot out of it. Send me an e-mail when tou have more info.(ploconnell@comcast.net)

Paul,

sounds good.

And to the idiot "maaaaaah". I live with Dussol at school and I know that he was in class; but good try.

This was actually a very productive offseason practice. Not only is it a great workout, it also at a very good place to learn some new things at your own pace. Another thing is, that it is also a good place to perfect your shots and do some good fine tune drilling.
