Whom can be contacted to make sure that omitted wrestlers that qualified are added to this list? Thanks for any help anyone can give me... |

Mr. Ford, I think that's Coach Voiland/Bacon. |

Is there anyway for wrestlers to receive there certificate if they were unable to attend the banquet? |

You should probably start with the Head Coach. It's his responsiblity to get the names of qualified wrestlers submitted. |

just a reminder that at every gathering of coaches (pre-season, seeding, scratches, open) there was a reminder about coaches needing to get acad all state info in on time...or you and your school would be the ones to hear about it later from parents. |

According to the banquet program (available from CT Wrestling On-Line):
Academic All State:
> top 6 in LL, L, M, or S tourney
> average at least 85% in previous marking period and no grade lower than B (80%)
> maintain "highest level of behavioral discipline in eyes of the school's administration"
Don't ask me what the latter means, I'm just reporting (were I to speculate I'd think it means that someone in the school administration other than the coach has to sign off on a form).

Three wrestlers that were accidentally omitted are listed below. And yes, I am proud of my son and want to make sure people know that he has accomplished this status. I am also proud of his two teammates and feel all three deserve the recognition they worked so hard to attain.
Andrew Ford, Bethel, 1st M, 152
Brandon Lennox, Bethel 4th M, 171
Chris Valenti, Bethel 4th M, 285 |

As you should be (proud) Mr. Ford. You don't need to explain to anyone that you are proud of your son, he's a great kid. The only people who need explain anything are any coaches who don't ensure their wrestlers receive the recognition for being a STUDENT-athlete since that is what's really important here. Congratulations to the Bethel wrestlers. |

Speaking specifically, the Bethel wrestlers being omitted was no one's fault. Both coach Owen (Bethel's coach) and coach Voiland (adminsitrator of the listings) did what they were supposed to do. It was an honest mistake as to why our three Bethel wrestlers were not included. A mixup in communication. I didn't mean to imply that it was anyone's "fault." |
