Best of Luck to all the girls competing in Eastern Michigan at the Womens National Wrestling Championships and representing Connecticut!!!!

Cheyenne Carden and Hunter Carden the Branford Community is so proud of you...

I know Cheyenne,first at New Englands and seeded 8th out of 16, wrestles Alona Lettner from North Carolina in Round one and gets the number one seed if she advances (Brienna Delgado of South Carolina)

Also representing Connecticut today in the High School Division:
Kiana Lagace, a sophmore from Bristol, Connecticut
Taylor Zboray, a sophmore from Manchester, Connecticut

Middle School Division:
Grace Preli, an 8th grader from Lebanon, Connecticut
Quijano, Kaely, a 6th grader from Avon, Connecticut

Elementary Division:
Siarra Harrington, a 5th grader from Lebanon, Connecticut
Breana Lohbusch, a 5th grader from Lebanon, Connecticut

Jessica McCamish from Avon wresting out for the Bristol Gladiators is in the Semi Finals in the MiddleSchool Division

Sorry I did not see Jessica's name listed...good luck to her as well.

I know Cheyenne is still in the tournament...with a shot at 3rd. She lost to the number one seed.

Branford's First-ever High School All-American

Congratulations to Cheyenne Carden who has become Branford High Schools first-ever High School All-American.

Cheyenne placed 4th at 128lbs this weekend at the Girls Wrestling National Championships.

She wrestled 140 or 145 for Branford High most of the season, so dropping down to 128 could not have been easy. Your team and coaches are so proud of you.
