Should college athletes be included in any new health care reform? Let your representatives in Washington DC know your opinion. The debate in Congress is currently ongoing. President Obama wants a national health care reform bill sent to him for signature before the end of August.
Residents of Connecticut are represented in Congress by 2 Senators and 5 Representatives. Even if you are not of voting age, these people are YOUR legislators and should know your opinion. Both senators represent the entire state. One representative represents each district. Each CT resident is represented by two senators and one representative. Each representative listed below is identified by district in parenthesis. A map of congressional districts can be found at this link;

Contact info listed after the representative's name below is, in order, DC phone number, DC fax number and e-mail.

If you feel it is wrong that these athletes are being stuck with these bills, speak up. Say specifically that you believe it is unfair. Tell your opinion to the people that may have the most influence in the very near future in stopping this unfair treatment. Contact your senators and representatives and tell them college athletes should be covered in a national health care system. Attach the link to the article above(http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/16/sports/16athletes.html?_r=1) and ask them to read it.
NOW is the time to do something about this injustice and you've just been given all the information you need to do it. Will you?
