4th Annual NHSCA High School Freshman Nationals Wrestling Championship
Eligibility - Must be enrolled in high school with freshman eligibility.
Location - Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
Weight Classes - 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285
There will be one weigh-in for the entire event with a 3-pound weight allowance example: i.e. The 103 weight class will be 106 pounds.
Matches - Championship bracket matches will all be 2, 2, 2 . All consolation matches will be 1, 11/2, 11/2. There will be full wrestle backs for all consolation matches.
Awards / All-American status - The top eight place finishers in each weight class will receive awards as well as official recognition as High School Freshman All-Americans. Upon achieving all-American status, you will receive 3 certificates documenting your achievements; one certificate is for you, one for your school and one for your coach. An outstanding wrestler as well as most falls in the least amount of time awards will be given at the conclusion of the finals. You must be present on the awards stand at the finals in order to receive your award. There will also be state team awards for the first top place finishers.
Team Scoring - The highest place finisher from each state will score for their state.
All coaches that plan to coach their wrestler must be a 2009-2010 members of the NHSCA. No other ogranization's cards will be honored.

4th Annual National Middle and Elementary School Wrestling Championships
March 24-26, 2010
The nation's premier youth wrestling event comes to the spectacular Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 24-26 , 2010 as the site of the NHSCA National Middle & Elementary School Wrestling Championships. More than 600 of the nation's best 4th through 8th grade wrestlers are expected to compete in what promises to be non-stop, action-packed, sold-out excitement.
NOTE: Wrestlers and coaches do not need to purchase tickets. However, coaches must be 2009-10 members of the National High School Coaches Association. No other organizations will be recognized. With the membership, you will receive tremendous benefits. The membership may be purchased online or on site at registration for $100.
Eligibility
Must be enrolled in grades 4-6 or grades 6-8. 6th graders can choose the level at which they compete.
All Entries must be submitted on-line at www.nhsca.com by March 21. There is no walk in wrestler registration.

Weight Classes:
Middle School (Grades 6-8): 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 127, 135, 142, 154, 165, 180, 230
Elementary School (Grades 4-6): 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 125, 132, 160
There will be a 3-pound weight allowance for both divisions.
Matches - All championship bracket Middle School championship matches will be 1.5-1.5-1.5 minute periods. Elementary matches will be 1-1-1.
There will be full double-elimination consolation brackets.
Awards - One National Middle School and one National Elementary School Champion will be declared in each weight class. The top eight place finishers in each weight class will receive awards as well as official recognition as members of NHSCA's Future Champions Team. An outstanding wrestler award as well as the most falls in the least time award will be given at the conclusion of the finals.
State Team Awards - Each competitor will have the opportunity to score points for their state. The top three states will receive team awards and the winning state will take home the National Championship Cup to display at their State Championships.
Note: All wrestlers competing in the Middle and Elementary School Nationals will receive free admission to the 21st Annual Senior National event. The Senior Nationals will begin March 26 and finish on March 28th. Wrestlers need to keep on their competition wristband to gain admission to the Senior National event.

Weigh-ins: Honor Weigh-ins: To be done at own School, Club or Home. Tournament officials can
and will challenge any wrestlers weight if they do not agree. Any abuse will result in
disqualification with no refund. Every attempt will be made to place a wrestler in a
four-man round robin, which guarantees 3 matches each. They will be no more than
10% variance in weight per group.

Weigh In
7:00 am to 9:00 am on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Wrestling starts at 10:00 am and continues until completed.
Eligibility
Any girl/woman who is age 5 or older.
Elementary Division
Division for K-5 graders. Matches - 3 min. 1/1/1. HS rules.
Blocked Weights during 2010 season.
Middle School Division
Division for 6-7-8 graders. 4 1/2 min. 1.30/1.30/1.30 HS rules.
70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 140, 155, 220. "Blocked Weight" groups may be used.
High School Division
Division for 9-10-11-12 graders. 6 min. matches, 2/2/2. HS rules.
98, 103, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 133, 139, 146, 155, 170, 250. "Blocked Weight" groups may be used.
Collegiate Division
Division. 7 min. matches, 3/2/2. NCAA rules, no riding time.
97, 105, 112, 121, 130, 138, 148, 158, 182, 209, 250. "Blocked Weight" groups may be used.
Insurance
This tournament is insured by the Bob Leid Agency, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the leading wrestling/team sports insurer in the country. They specialize in wrestling. Policy is available upon request. Send stamped self addressed envelope to the USGWA Director for a copy.
Style
Folkstyle (high school style) rules. National Federation rules book will apply; HEADGEAR MANDATORY, hair-netting optional. NCAA rules for Collegiate Women Division.
Entry Fee
$25.00 per wrestler if postmarked by March 6, 2010; $30.00 at weigh-in REGISTER EARLY!!!!!!
Spectator Admisssion Fee
$6.00. Everyone pays except wrestlers, referees, table workers, and tournament administrators. Children under age 5 FREE.
Individual Awards
Medals to the TOP 3 placers in each weight group in each division.
Uniforms
High School uniforms shall not be worn unless OK'd by your school. Elem, MS, College may wear their uniform of choice.
Weigh-In Attire
A singlet is the REQUIRED weigh-in attire.

Somerset Youth Wrestling will be hosting is 2nd Annual Spring Classic on MARCH 21st, 2010.

This is an USA Wrestling Event (run by RIWA)
Weigh in times:
For Club tournaments: 6 to 10 year olds (7:30 - 8:15 am) 11-18 year olds (11:00 - 11:30 am)
Split Tournament Times:
6-7-8 year olds and 9-10 year olds will wrestle from 9:00 - 12:00 noon.
11-12 year olds, middle school and high school wrestlers will wrestle from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm

2010 Bennington Youth Northeast Wrestling Challenge
This unique tournament format attempts to pool wrestlers of similar ability. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. This is one of the last chance qualifiers for the Gene Mills Eastern Nationals and the Ohio Tournament of Champions!

Entry Fee: $20.00 Rules: High School rules Periods 1-1-1
**Please park in the rear of the high school. Parking on the street in unmarked parking areas
will result in a ticket!
Divisions: I – Ages 6 & under III – Ages 9 & 10 V – Ages 13 – 15
II – Ages 7 & 8 IV – Ages 11 & 12
*ANY WRESTLER THAT PARTICIPATED AT THE JUNIOR VARSITY OR VARSITY HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO WRESTLE.
Pooling: 4 Person Pools, Round Robin Format when possible. (We attempt to pool wrestlers of similar abilities., however, this may not be possible due to weigh difference, number of participants, incomplete or late entries etc..)
Awards: Trophies awarded for all wrestlers (1st-4th). Top 3 in each pool qualify for the Ohio
Tournament and all wrestlers will qualify for Gene Mills.
Time: Division I DIV II-III Division IV & V

We are staggering start times and shortened weigh-in periods in an attempt to move the tournament along quicker.
Early Weigh-Ins: Friday March 26th @ the Hampton Inn 6:30 pm-9:00pm.
We prefer to weigh in as many wrestlers early which help assure us that the tournament will begin on time.

The Hampton Inn of Bennington is pleased to sponsor Bennington Youth Wrestling. Relax in the indoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna or work out in our state of the art exercise facility, to reserve, call 802-440-9862, and ask for a room from the WRESTLING BLOCK to receive the discounted room rate of $119 plus tax per room, per night. Room types are standard, and based upon availability. There will be a mandatory quite time enforced from 10:00pm-6:00am. Pool Hours: 6:00am-10:00pm for everyone, adults only 10:00pm-12:00pm. Rooms must be booked by February 24th in order to guarantee the special rate.
Our concession stand will be open for breakfast and lunch offering great food @ reasonable prices. Your patronage is appreciated!
