189 isnt a very strong Wt class recently, but I would say Brainard, OConnel, or Battista. I dont know Norman or his credentials. I would say the top 160 or 152 would win this class

Thats foolish to say. No 152 or 160 is going to win 189.
171 will have Brainard, Carpenter unless he goes 160, lopes unless he goes 160, and Smith, plus you never know where Sullivan will go(he has grown alot the last two years), plus others I am not aware of at this tme.. 189 will have O'connell, Slaughter, Norman(by the way he is good)and others, but those three will place at opens. Just a few names to throw out at ya.

carpenter win 189?? 1st gotta win LL's.. And then not get pinned by 14th seed in the opens. And Ford and Onofrio are good.. At their weights. They wouldnt win 89. 89 is not as weak as everyone seems to think it is. The higher weights like 89 dont loose as many guys as the 125 class does with bumping weights. Most guys who went 89 last year will be there this year. If thats the case, then where are they weak!? Lopardo, and Slaughter both went into opens with one loss.. Battista went in undefeated, Norman and Iadanza both strong. What do you mean by weak? Cuz I mean I think 152 is weak... Only one guy there who is a basic guarantee as with 119 and 135. I think the weakest weight class will be 130. Alot of guys but most of them are close to 10 losses last year. Strongest.... 125 :)
What will make this class the most fun to watch this year is that NO ONE is destined to win. Unlike Costanzo, and Spencer, and Ford, and Jenning Cervero IIIII...lol.
