For the last few Years I have been going to the Towcester Learning Centre to learn how to use the Computer , It has given me so much confidence in using the computer, from doing household accounts on Spreadsheets to making Greeting cards ,emailing and using the Internet .It also helped me meet new people I really did enjoy it but at the end of July the government in its wisdom has stopped funding for it and it has now had to close its doors to the poeple of Towcester and surrounding villages. It is such a shame !!!
They ( the Northampton College) have provided a learning "coach" A big yellow coach that parks outside the TLC on the Wood Burcote Road but it only provides space for a very cosy 15 people! Since coming home after a fruitless hour on the coach (They didnt have the data that I needed to work with) I have been trying to think ideas of doing something in our village maybe at the new community centre!! has any one out there got any good ideas to help people of our village use the computer, maybe a workshop every week or something ??? Please help!!! Pam Loft |
