I used to live in the village between 1956 and 1970. I lived at 13 Bengal View with Mother Helen, Father Harold and Sisters Sandra and Valerie. Sadly all gone now except Val who still lives in Towcester. I have fond memories of Childhood friends, David Basford, Michael Newman, John Smart, John Paintin & Philip Matthews. I don't suppose anyone remembers 'Molly Ball's Hole' where we all learnt to swim. I moved north to Widnes in 1970 and have been in that area ever since. I don't get south of Brum very often but I usually try to engineer a slow drive through Norton when I do and the names and faces come flooding back.
