Dana, good luck finding a site for your son. Two problems come into play. The first is COPA, alot of forums I visit have a policy in effect due to it. And unfortunately that prevents anyone under 13 from being a member. The second problem, if you have been browsing other threads in this forum, comes in the form of trolls and losers.
