Was it an anchor with a seal? Anyone out there know?

so I always figured, since he's always got that 8-point hat on that his tattoo was the Marine eagle, globe and anchor symbol, or a variation on it.

See, I thought he was Navy. Possibly ex-SeAL therefore the seal and anchor. BTW every Marine I've ever known would be extremely offended to be called a sailor and that's how he's described on this site. Really I'm just trying to verify 'cause I'm Shipwreck for Halloween and I want it to be authentic.

In that case, he probably is. The Navy wears the 8 point hat too, but that's only when they wear BDU's and that's not that often. As a kid, I always equated his tattoo with Popeye's, but mostly because Popeye was the only other sailor I could think of. True sailors (not techs or swabbies) or actually pretty big though, you can thank the Village People for the horrible stereotype.
