I was fooling around with this same thing the other day and, from my rather unscientific testing methods,
determined that an empty 12 gram Co2 cartridge actually holds 14.25 cubic centimeters of water. This
equates to .8695884 cubic inches of capacity which would be .4818498 fluid ounces of water or 13.66 grams.
If the cartridge actually holds only 12 grams (.4232876 ounces) of liquid Co2 (as advertised), then the
specific weight of liquid Co2 must be lighter than that of water by about 12%.
