I stayed in Coronado at 150 Acacia Avenue back in 1978 - 82 when my UK Naval Commander husband was on exchange with the US Navy up at Miramar. firstly, I'd like to hear from anyone who remembers us - especially the next door neighbours Diane and Jerry - children were called Jeff and Carla if my memory serves me correctly!!!
My main reason for writing however is that I'm always telling friends who visit the east coast of america how marvellous it is in San Diego - and now some are going to visit. Don't worry I'm not looking for accommodation or anything, just up to date info.
They are planning to spend some time in LA and then San Diego and then drive down Baja. Where are the good places to visit in San Diego these days - is it still worth going out to Rosarita Beach in Mexico and what's it like driving down through Baja these days?
Really anything that might their trip more memorable would be appreciated.
I can reciprocate by telling you anything you want to know about Portugal!! - I know the Salema in the Western Algarve better than Rick Steves!
