I have a Compaq 5330US P4 running XP that came with a PCTEL Platinum V.90 modem. It works fine with everything except, when my phone rings it picks up after 2 rings & starts sending/receiving tones. I was told to disable the fax software, I did, no change. I was told to add S0=0 to string, I did, no change. I've posted on the Microsoft forum & the Compaq forum, no help. Can anyone out there help me???
