Hey , couple of things that may be happening with your son, he may be overplaying the drill, concentrating on each step , trying to execute each as if he was practicing, the other , the player has all the time in the world to beat him, remember its a drill, no one to check him. You may also get him to work on his backside edge, when one leg is up and the pad is on the ice and you slide hard over into the place where the shooter is trying to shoot.I am a goalie and my two sons are as well, when I am stumped I go to belfour.com.
