You see, when an ethnic Ukrainian, such as yours truly, tells you something about Ukrainians and their view on Poles, you should listen to it.
When some Pole, like you, starts describing how Ukrainians all love Poles, how they were happy little campers under Polish rule, etc, that should be considered a Polish fairy tale, invented by Poles to justify themselves in their own eyes.
For my part, I have to point out once again that Russians have always been and will always remain more preferrable to regular Ukrainians than Poles. In general, the Polish claims about Poland and Russia being former colonial masters of Ukraine on an equal basis are ludicrous -- Ukrainians have always had a stake in the Russian Empire, and their stake became even more equal in USSR. Only under Polish rule was Ukraine made a true colony in all negative aspects of the word.
To be entirely fair, my allergy to Poles stems not from personal history (since the place where I was born and grew up never actually came under Polish rule), but from talking to characters like you. You pretend to represent the opinion of Poles in general, and I actually believe you in that -- that's why my allergy is not directed at you personally, but at your entire country.
