To answer your "What for?": Rather simple, the major reason being that one can usualy expect that the newest edition is the most up-to-date (for variuos reasons, for example new sources, research etc. has surfaced, or the text has been censored, manipulated with (it works both ways round, a second edition being tampered with, for whatever reasons, or the original being sencored etc. etc. etc.) |
