For $2k I can put my hands on the following brand new motor. I'll be set at the track with race gas. However, I question how happy it'll be on the street (93 - 94 octane) with 12:1 CR. What do you think?

95.5 mm knife edged stroker crank
83.5mm forged aluminum thermal barrier coated pistons
fully balanced bottem end
big valve 16v head w/Schrick 260/276 cams
radial intake valve job
thermal barrier coated combustion chamber
heat emitter coated valve cover
ARP bolts everywhere
again... **12:1 compression**

Engine management is TEC-II. With that cam overlap and the thermal coated pistons and combustion chambers... maybe I'll be okay? I don't mind adding tolulene on a regular basis, but race gas all the time will bankrupt me.

Thanks,
