| After about 2yrs of talking, I finally put the car on the road. A3 2.0 ABA. KKK26 turbo & wastegate. Engle 264 cams & G60 injectors. 5psi boost.
However I have a few bugs to straighten out. I only have about 1000 useful rpm of boost, between 3k & 4k then the wastegate blows the boost out. Time to shift. might even get a backfire.
I plan to return to the stock cams hopefully tomorrow,
maybe that will allow the car to build boost to redline.(even @ idle the car is a bit lumpy)
Strange scenario: The wastegate is set at 5 psi however guage will go up to about 10psi, but engine breaks up after 4k. As I said I will swap out the cams & see where that lands me.

No, this car is a stock 96 2.0 8v GTi.
The Problem seemed to have been the hose to the waste gate was hooked to the wrong spot. Unfortunately I found out only after I changed the cam. I still would have loved to really feel it cammed up. Still need to straighten out a few more issues but I will keep you guys posted.
Stranghely I am getting a constant 10 psi, but as far as I know my spring is rated at about 5psi. | |
