has anybody hooked one up? i'm getting mines in a couple days, and need to know how to hook it up, the instructions on msd is vauge. does the factory ignition module get thrown away? do i actually hook up the hall sender to the box itself? anybody that has hooked one help, can you help me out by giving me some wiring diagrams, or just explain how you did it?

Heres some instructions for you.
You don't use the magnetic pickup wires (green and purple) just so you know. Ofcourse wire colors may vary based on the model car you have but as long as you get the coil + and - part right you'll be good.

1.Heavy Red: constant power, right to battery +
2.Heavy Black: ground
3.Orange: coil +
4.Black: coil -
5.smaller red: keyed power, attaches to factory black wire that went to coil +.
6.White wire: Factory red/black & green that went to coil -.

Yes it does have to stay unless you converted to a magnetic pickup. The white wire is for points or hall sensor type ignitions. Heres a link to the diagram you need. http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/pdf24.pdf
