Last night my 90 gli was stolen, managed to find it this morning. I was thinking maybe BMW for the next daily driver. I know, it's not a dub, but I was thinking of branching out a bit.

BTW, if anyone sees a set of TSWs with a brand new set of Yoko a520 205/40/17s on them in Spokane, let me know, I've got an ax to grind

word of advice, back in the day when i (was young and stupid) ran a crew in boston, the only thing that ever kept theives away is a removeble stering wheel, and hidden "well hiden kill switch" you can do the pump or the blue wire on the alternator, also hide your siren under the car, for a2 and a1's weld or bolt a plate behind the vw badge in front of the grill, this way makes it impossible to open the hood and cut the alarm, there's a way around every system out there, but, the ones i've mesioned (well there was this one blazer w/ hydraulics was laying frame that just made it imposible to drive since the switches were hiddin)...good luck next time..leo

also those plates on the door handles DO work, they can still break the window but, it's noisy and messy, but if the syren is hidden they can't cut it, you'll end up w/ a broken window but, still will have a car, unless they're pros, but, most of the times just kids who watched gone in 60 seconds...hope this helps leo

Then they'll just break the handle off.

If you want security, then get a MK3 or MK4.A good locksmith can get into a MK3,but but mobody will ever steal a MK4.It would be impossible.

not to disagree but, i could tow a mk4 anytime, that's how they take mercedes and bimmers these days, the door plates will warn who ever is bout to mess w/ the car that it is secured, cause if you think about it you can just break the window, specially if its tinted which woun't make any sound...but real pros can break windows w/ no tint and still not make any sound...leo

I and many others realy appreciate it, but I was looking for ideas for the next daily driver. I don't think I'm gonna do another Jetta and I'd kinda like to see what the rest of the world drives.

I'm lookin realy closely at a Miata as I have a full CB supercharger system and a turbo manifold and down tube for one. Besides, 1.8 16v 2 seater w/ rear wheal drive at under 2400 lbs, how can you go wrong?

Later!

Rohar

i can get into a mk3 with a tenesse ball...i used to do it when i used to repo...all u have to do is drill o hole in the ball the size of they key hole on the door....put the hole in the ball up to the key hole and hit the ball with your hand...it sends air into the looking system cause u guys all know mk3 and some benzes have that air looking sytem and it unlocks all the doors

miatas are fun. we got one boosted and spraying both co2 and nos. i'd rock that, or a 240. my friends 240 w/ basic sr20 swap, kaaz limited slip runs low 13's on street tires. i'm deff digging rwd. If u stray from vw, atleast be original and not drive a civic. There is how many millions of them on the road both tuned and riced.

as for breaking into cars, some are harder than others, there are tricks to everything. i learned alot of tricks on how to get into a car when they come from the auction w/ no keys. anyone who boosts cars for cash or for repo work knows the tricks in and out. the addage holds true- a lock only keeps an honest person honest.
