I am new to VW's and having a little trouble with my car. I bought a salvaged titled wreck to fix for myself and attempting to get the car in running condition. everything appears to be in good order and everything is stock. Problem is , car starts but only runs for 2 seconds. The car will restart and turn off again after 2 seconds. Any ideas anyone?? Is there a way to retrieve codes from the computer??

it might be your relay for your fuel pump, sounds like its shutting its self off after the key is turned, u get 12 volts when the key is turned but after the car is started your pump runs on 6 volts it might be shutting itself off that could be cause by the relay
