OK I have a 98 jetta 2.0l 8v and I’m looking to put a header on it but there is a connection tube to the EGR on the exhaust manifold. I can't take the EGR off because I live in NY and with this new inspection they do all of the emissions control stuff has to be there in a functional way (engine light can not be on) Can I weld a plug into one of the header tubes and just connect it like that or would I have to have the full exhaust pressure of the engine?
