The 41st Tennessee headquartered in Fayetteville, Tenn. and Titusville, Fl. cordially invites all Tennessee reenactors to participate in the Florida Winter Campaign, ie. the Battles of Olstee, Crystal River, Mt. Dora and Narcoosee Springs. We is vastly outnumbered by the Yankees down here. We fight as an integrated unit with cannon and dismounted cavalry on the flanks with infantry down the middle. No shoes, no boots, no problem! We especially like soldiers with shotguns and mule collars.
The 41st will open our homes and fields for volunteers. These battles happen when its real cold in Tennessee. We are located near the Cape and the Mouse. Our core members recently participated with the 7th Tennessee Cavalry at Shiloh, Sacremento and Parker's Crossroads. Please contact us at 4860 Santa Rosa, Titusville, Fl 32780, 321-269-9458. Thia ain't no farb outfit as we fight and dress according to the historical record. That means that almost any period weapon or dress is acceptable. The 41st became the 3rd Cons Tennessee Reg't in last year of the war with our original commander Col James Tillman as leader. The 11th was placed with the 3rd Tenn Cons. Remember we was mountain men from Franklin, Linclon, Giles and Moore Counties. Most were clothed from the dead, captured and what we could get from home. Therefore there was nothing uniform among this unit. Florida is hot so don't bother with coats and try to get cotton pants which was the norm in late stages of the War.
