I have been unable to find any information on the strength on the 11th Tn at the battle of Chickamauga. I have complete access to the offical records here in Washington Dc, but they dont show the strength of the 11th. If anyone has info on the strength of the 11th Tenn at Chickamauga it would be filling in a piece of the puzzle.
Thank you very much,
Shawn Verdini

Although the exact strength of the 11th Tennessee Infantry at Chickamauga is unknown, regimental returns from April, 1863 show a total of 436 men with 415 present for duty. Since the regiment was not engaged in battle from April until September at Chickamauga, this should be a close estimate to regimental strenth in that battle. We have no information to believe that the 11th received any large influx of new recruits nor any high amounts of discharges or desertions during this period.
