I don't think the intention was to wind people up. There are other people who say that Cora and Ralf are not really together and say that all she does is stalk him and follow him to the races and that he hates her. I think the point ralfsbaby is trying to make is that they are together and that they are a family - other posters say that David is in fact Cora's nephew and nothing to do with Ralf.
