Toyota TF105 Set for Second Major Overhaul of the Season

As vowed by team boss Mike Gascoyne early this season, Toyota will continue to pour its plentiful resources in the progressive development of its TF105 challenger. According to Autosport-Atlas, the Cologne-based squad will have a thoroughly reworked version of its TF105 challenger for the San Marino GP in three weeks’ time - the second time this year the car will receive a major overhaul.
New front and rear wings, rear diffuser and redesigned sidepods are all in the revamp’s menu, to be sampled during this week’s Barcelona F1 tests. In the opinion of the man who’s delivered the team’s first two podiums in its history, the TF105 still lacks in a crucial area, given this year’s new regulations: it needs to be easier on its tires.
"We have a lot of new things coming up for this car and we hope that we can make the car slightly more understeering with a bit more traction,” Jarno Trulli said after finishing second in Bahrain.

After all, the joys of grabbing a first podium only last until a maiden victory becomes the goal.

“I am getting tired of this side [of the podium],” Trulli quipped. "We need to keep the momentum but we need to improve our performance
