Attention sun lovers & parents!! Check out "SSTV (SunSafetyforKids.org) Presents 'The Sun Show!'" - now on YOUTUBE!! Shown in 3 parts, this original, unique weekly kids' television series pilot was Directed, Written, Co-Produced, & Music Supervised by filmmaker and award-winning music video director, Chip Miller. It is adapted from 2 commercial DVD programs Miller also created (currently in most North American elementary schools), as an important, new educational tool.
"The Sun Show!" racked up prestigious video & educational awards, including the 2006 ACCOLADE Award for Best Educational video & Best Director & the 2005 AEGIS Award for Best Director & Best Editing. Program features music of major recording artists such as Brian Wilson, Jerry Douglas, Deniece Williams, Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones), Butthole Surfers, & Justin Timberlake. And legendary Disney hand animators provide classic animation sequences. With 80 speaking parts, & shot at 14 locations around LA, pilot was funded by Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, 3M Pharmaceuticals, & Disney TV. Our message informs kids & parents that risk of developing skin cancer can be substantially reduced by simply "Blocking the Sun, Not the Fun" and we hope to reduce skin cancer through teaching & promoting sun protection to children at an early age.
