nothing is the same!

Countless number of times this same situation has played out. Can ANYONE EVER capture the essence of "what was"? Our memories of those special places AND times, can only be relived through sites as this one.(of course original recipes would do CONSIDERABLE justice to the feeble attempt of those trying to recreate the "past") But as far as I'm concerned, GIVE ME ORIGINAL!!!! I would pay good $ to have the recipe for the "Falls View" or the "Colonial Grill"! I've visited the new "Falls View" on ringwood ave many years ago. Com-on! REALLY! I think that the sauce was canned I believe. They didn't even "call out" the order! "two away two on seven... frenchy 3, one with gravy, make one frenchy all the way... roast beef on a hard, onion ring, to go! Then I would say...."give me one away while I wait"! No problem!
YEAH, give me original.... I would certainly love to order some of THAT for here! I REALLY do LOVE the "taste" of those memories though! Thanks for the "spark"! Peter
