Spend lots of time using the "search" feature at the top right side of this forum.
Just type in a key word/s and read,read,read.
This Forum is a great resource for help, but will quickly tire of those that come here to be argumentative, or trash-mouths, critical slobs or obsessive bloggers with the idea that they are to be served answers/explanations to ad nauseum instead of searching a bit, studying and then asking some thought-out questions.
For starters, try carving some words or signs in some small logs or heavy boards, it'll help you find some comfort with using the blade of the saw.
